As you guys have probably noticed, I haven’t been as active on here the last couple of days as I have been recently. If you’re wondering as to why, well there are a number of reasons, though chief among them is that I just… I need a break from this. I don’t intend to be gone forever, and I don’t plan on quitting when it comes to blogging about stuff that I find important or concerning in regards to the current shitstorm that is the world, but for the sake of my own personal mental health, I need to take a step back from tumblr for a while.
For those who follow my Overwatchblog, don’t worry, I’ll still open the Askbox on Wednesdays like usual. It’s just that, for now, I have to unplug and go somewhere a little more quiet for a while, until I feel well enough to return and continue the blogging and continue to “fight,” as it were. You might see me favorite something, and it’s likely I’ll have saved it to my drafts, but I may not post it until days later or something, because I’m trying to avoid upping my anxiety again by coming here until I’m ready.
Just thought you deserved to know, instead of just having me drop off the face of the earth with no explanation. I’ll be around, just not as much as I have been in the last few weeks or so. See you when I see you, and keep on keeping on.
A lateral deer with a bit of a Mercy vibe. This character is a field
savior. They’re some of the few rolls Progenitus hires laterals for.
They specialize in immediate patch and relief of acute wounds on the
field. non-lethal bullet holes, crumbling armor, bad cuts or breaks,
things that can be rapidly repaired and doped up to keep someone
fighting without requiring them to be hauled off the lines. With a
pushframe, the work can be done rapidly and in fine detail, and the
lateral can use their natural speed to rush off to the next person that
needs it. Saviors add considerable longevity to the front line.
This is so cool! I love this character design, and the lore behind it is always a plus. It’s nice to see that Progenitus offers opportunites for lateral Vectors as well, seeing as the roles they’d be able to fill in the medical field would doubtless be rather limited, due to their lack of hands and opposable thumbs, such as with this lovely doe here. I wonder if that uniform is standard for the Field Savior occupation, or if there are variations of it throughout Progenitus’ ranks. It’s such an awesome look :D.
Seriously guys, if you haven’t checked it out yet, look into this game, HC SVNT DRACONES. It’s an awesome post-human apocalypse sci-fi tabletop RPG, and the work that’s gone into it is nothing short of amazing. I’ve bought both the corebook and expanded core PDFs, and I plan on buying the supplemental when it comes out. Give it a look if you feel inclined and, if you feel the need and are able, support the game’s expansions and what not through it’s kickstarter campaign.

The vote to confirm Betsy DeVos as Sec of Education was delayed. The hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions will now be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 31, according to an advisory from the committee. And now to act (esp my ME, GA, NC and SC friends)! Betsy DeVos is up for confirmation as U.S. Education Secretary, and many, many educators have expressed strongly that she is not qualified to ensure quality education in this country.
Please consider calling one of the following Republican Senators (key in the confirmation vote) to express your opinion on the appointment. At least 3 of these need to be convinced in order to block DeVos’ nomination. Don’t email. Don’t tweet. Don’t complain on Facebook. Call them! Then, PLEASE SHARE WIDELY:
